Many people have come across meditation in all its various forms, yet they have never tried it. Others associate it as part of an organised religion and so have been put off from trying it. Yet meditation is something you can do at home apart from within an organised religious setting. I myself have been practising meditation for over 20 years now and have led workshops as well as one to one sessions. In the autumn during the second lockdown, after many years of thinking about it, I finally put pen to paper and wrote a book about meditation.
In it I describe many of the different types of meditation and how they differ from each other. I look at the best ways to prepare for meditation and explain how best to meditate, especially if this is something new to you. I also look at how meditation can be beneficial for you and look at the various scientific research projects that have got into checking this out from a science point of view. One thing that I do that most people who meditate do not do, is use colours as a way of getting into the zone of meditation and I explain this in more detail in the book. I also look at how chakra's can be used in meditation and how they relate to the body's endocrine system.
Finally, I have put in several guided meditations to help the reader to practise at home. There is also a full list of meditation courses and retreats that you might be interested, in as well as website links to other meditation websites. The book is available either as an Ebook or as a printed book and the details for it are found below.
