The Christmas Tree. (Taken from) The Angels Speak
Life is like the Christmas Tree, portraying colours and shades of light which there are many.
Each lantern that burns portrays a vibration of light, each having an individual beauty of its own.
Each experience allows one to feel a vibration of a specific intensity, a lesson you may say.
Some colours may be pleasing to the eye, but each colour or experience has its value.
The well-being and warmth that is portrayed from the Christmas Tree allows an understanding, a feeling of unity to which one may wish to draw nearer.
If all the lanterns were black, then how bright even one small coloured lantern would appear.
If the tree was always bright, constantly displaying beauty and light, then would you not soon become bored with it, taking it for granted, and loosing the true appreciation for the beauty that it holds?
If every day was Christmas, would not the atmosphere of peace and understanding become taken for granted, leaving the comparison only to be drawn with the darkness?
In time you would not appreciate the colours, the light, or the darkness.
Remember as a child, how brightly the Christmas Tree stood, surrounded by a feeling of excitement, warmth, and love, by all those who drew near to it?
If each of your days were as the Christmas Tree, would you not become tired and unappreciative of the beauty of life?
And if each day was a perfect day, with no sense of improvement, would you not soon tire of the next morning, as you arose?
To appreciate the Christmas Tree with all its beauty, you must learn to have it removed from view, as this will allow the strength to continue on, and to see its beauty once again.
View your life as the time between each Christmas, where the four seasons will be experienced, and at the beginning of each year, be prepared to be without the beauty of the Christmas Tree, for just a little while, as you start upon a journey through a series of changing seasons.
Some will be cold, some will be warm, but as you pass from one season to the next, you will appreciate the differences you will feel.
As you continue to pass through the repeating passages of time and seasons, you will continue to see the Christmas Tree, as and when you should, with all its colour, beauty, and light.
To appreciate the light, you must experience the darkness, but once the darkness has passed, you will fully appreciate the light once again.
As you light and watch the candle flame, warmth is also felt, as its light allows you to see the things around you.
You must learn to light the candle of the soul, so you too may feel the warmth within, and see the things you have around you, without this, you will have only the coldness and the darkness, but you alone, can choose to burn the light within.
It is easy to stand still in the darkness, never stepping forward, being afraid of falling down, but do you not see, that by not lighting the light within your soul, you will never see or appreciate the beauty of the things which surround you?
If you remain hidden in the darkness, then how will others find you, and what journeys would you have between the Christmas Trees?
The seasons may pass, but without the light within, how will you know the difference?
Your lives are formed between the Christmas trees, it begins with the beauty and the light, and it ends with the beauty and the light, but how far you walk through the seasons, only you can decide.
For the beauty of the snowflake to become appreciated, it must move through many stages, each having many transformations, some visible, some not.
You are as the snowflake upon the winds which surround the Christmas Tree, on a cold winters night, you too will experience many changes, some visible, some not, but as you eventually fall to the ground, you will have a beauty of your own, from which many will receive pleasure in their eyes.
You will melt, you will rise, you will fall, but so long as there is light within, you will be seen by others and be remembered.
